How everything started

Collodi’s story, The Adventures of Pinocchio, is not just a children’s fairy tale: it is a profound metaphor for life.

It speaks of growth, authenticity, falls, and rebirths. It tells of the imperfect and wonderful journey we all undertake to truly become “real.” Pinocchio embodies our fragilities, our limits, but above all, our infinite possibilities.

Placing Pinocchio within the paintings of great masters was not merely an artistic exercise: it is a way to bring art closer to each of us.

His presence in these celebrated works transforms painting into an inclusive experience, where anyone can see themselves, imagine, feel part of the history of art, and perhaps even discover within themselves the courage to create.

In this project, Pinocchio is more than a character: he is a mirror of the human experience. He is raw, impulsive, incomplete, yet extraordinarily alive. He represents the creative spark that lives within each of us — sometimes hidden, sometimes shy, but always ready to emerge.

The works of Pinocchio in the Gallery remind us that creativity is not a privilege for a few, but a universal language, a right, and a deep need of the soul.

The project was born from the artistic vision of my father, José Luis Ciccio, and my collaboration alongside him, always supported by my mother, Adelina.

After my father’s early passing, it is now the two of us, mother and I, who continue this traveling exhibition because we firmly believe that this message must continue to be shared.

The exhibition invites both children and adults to rediscover wonder, to let themselves be surprised by art in unexpected ways. Its magic lies precisely here: Pinocchio adapts to those who observe him. Every visitor finds something different — an emotion, a memory, a new idea — opening space for their own imagination.

Pinocchio in the Gallery is not just a journey through reinterpretations of masterpieces: it is an invitation to reflect, dream, and reinvent oneself, following the journey of the little puppet who becomes a symbol of universal creativity.

We hope to bring this experience to your city soon.
